Manage Apple iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, and Windows Devices Managing a diverse mobile fleet of Apple iOS, Google Android, BlackBerry, Symbian or Windows Mobile devices raises many challenges for enterprises. AirWatch enables organizations to leverage the latest mobile devices with a comprehensive mobile device management solution that manages all mobile assets regardless of operating system, carrier, network or location.
With AirWatch you can manage any mobile device, on any carrier or network, anywhere in the world. Not only does AirWatch provide functionality across all platforms, but it’s available in one central console.
With AirWatch as a technology partner, your enterprise has the flexibility and confidence to take advantage of the most advanced mobile devices available on any of the major mobile operating systems.
Multi-tenant Architecture
Easily Organise Device Groups & Client Environments AirWatch’s multi-tenant architecture allows large enterprises or managed service providers (MSPs) to manage multiple entities from a single instance of the software.
Enterprises Within large enterprises, IT departments have to meet the requirements of different users across functional, organizational or geographical groups. AirWatch’s multi-tiered architecture enables IT administrators to create hierarchical tiers within the AirWatch console to represent each of these device groups.
Access to AirWatch console can be tied to the tier level, so IT administrators responsible for specific devices, users or locations can view and manage only the groups for which they are authorized. More specifically, console roles can be customized down to the specific actions different IT administrators are allowed to make.
If your enterprise is using third-party organizations for IT support or help desk functions, AirWatch’s customizable console roles ensure they have the appropriate access, visibility and management capabilities.
Managed Service Providers (MSPs) For MSPs, AirWatch’s multi-tenant architecture is a key feature that allows them to provide enterprise mobile device management services to multiple clients. In just one instance of the AirWatch software, MSPs can securely host and manage multiple client environments with separate console access rules and authentication, branding and more. Only authorized IT administrators can access client environments, and their level of capabilities is easily managed by creating custom console roles.
Highly Scalable
AirWatch Grows as Your Business Grows When evaluating MDM software, it is important to consider a solution’s scalability to ensure it meets current and future enterprise mobility needs. AirWatch’s highly scalable architecture is designed to support organizations with hundreds to thousands of devices by leveraging best-in class hosting and network operations.
Whether delivered on-premise, as a software appliance or in a hosted SaaS model, AirWatch’s architecture is designed to scale. AirWatch is both vertically and horizontally scalable, which means it can handle increasing workloads and balance across multiple servers.
When is comes to storing critical data for our customers, AirWatch leverages multiple data centers to provide data redundancy in cases of failover, high-availability processing and support for disaster recovery efforts. AirWatch’s network operations centre (NOC) is located in Atlanta and operates 24/7/365.
By implementing a scalable technology like AirWatch, which grows as the demands of your business grow, enterprises can reduce their overall IT investment and achieve higher ROI.
Role Based Access
Define and Secure Console Access AirWatch’s highly flexible role-based access control allows enterprises to define and control console access, protecting critical business information and enterprise mobile assets.
AirWatch developed the concept of role-based access control to ensure only authorized console users are able to view and manage enterprise assets. Custom roles provide the ability to restrict the device groups an IT administrator can manage. More specifically, console roles also control the depth of device management features and capabilities available to that user. For another added level of security, console log in credentials are integrated with enterprise directory services, authenticating users before logging in.
Leveraging AirWatch’s role-based access control also addresses the critical aspect of tracking when, what and by whom changes are made to devices. AirWatch provides a detailed trail of users accessing the system, the events or actions taking place, and maintains that information for auditing and reporting purposes.
Multi-lingual Console
Integrate Multiple Languages into One Console AirWatch provides global enterprises with the ability to integrate multiple languages into one management console and allows console users the ability to select their preferred language and dialects.
AirWatch’s flexible architecture leverages data dictionary files to create a multi-lingual console. Enterprises have the ability to localize their console language by integrating specific cultural, linguistic or industry terms.
AirWatch supports both double and quad byte character sets, and converts all languages into Unicode.
Enterprise Integration (APIs)
Integrate and Compliment Internal Enterprise Systems AirWatch’s mobile device management solution was designed to integrate and complement your internal enterprise systems.
AirWatch can authenticate device users through a basic authentication process or by integrating directly with enterprise directory services (LDAP). For enterprises using Microsoft Exchange Active Sync, AirWatch has the ability to configure and secure access to enterprise email, calendar and contacts. AirWatch also supports corporate VPN settings, Wi-Fi and much more.
As mobility moves beyond mobile access to email, calendar and contacts, AirWatch provides even deeper integration with enterprise systems through the use of device management APIs. These APIs can be integrated into third party or internal applications for an added level of security and management.
Intelligent Notifications
Manage by Exception for Increased Productivity AirWatch’s alerting engine enables IT departments to manage by exception, so they can be more productive and efficient. When a pre-defined incident occurs, AirWatch notifies the IT department via email, text or dashboard message.
By constantly monitoring an enterprise’s mobile fleet, AirWatch can identify when a device is inactive, roaming or non-compliant and notify the IT department instantly. To minimize impact on your IT operations, AirWatch can be configured with business rules to proactively respond to these issues.
While this provides many benefits for the IT departments, mobile users benefit the most from quicker response times when they need it the most.
Robust Reporting Portal
Automate and Share Valuable Reports AirWatch generates actionable, result-oriented reports and provides automated report distribution to IT-defined lists.
AirWatch provides enterprises with an extensive library of high level and detailed device reports. IT administrators can leverage these pre-defined reports or create custom reports based on specific devices, user groups, date ranges or file preferences.
In addition, enterprises can schedule any of these reports for automated distribution to a group of users and recipients on either a defined schedule or a recurring basis. Report access and distribution can be tied to console roles, which enable a high level of control and security over how information is being distributed across the enterprise.
